  A pályakezdő Dosztojevszkij és a fiatal kritikus, Belinszkij lelkesült barátsága,
  „mester–tanítvány” összefüggésben is értelmezhető viszonya, majd elhidegülésük évtizedekig
  témája maradt az orosz irodalmi életnek. Kapcsolatuk értékelése később sem jutott
  nyugvópontra, mert mindkét szereplő személyisége, életműve külön is ideológiai megítélést
  kapott az egymást követő korszakok, politikai és eszmei irányzatok sodrásában, egészen az
  1980-as évek végéig – és talán mindmáig.

  The close bond between the young Dostoevsky and the young critic Belinsky, their
  relationship (which some say was like that of “master and disciple”), and their eventual
  parting of ways has been a controversial topic in Russian literary life for decades. The
  assessment of their relationship remains an open issue, as the personalities and works of both
  figures were judged separately in the drift of successive eras, political and ideological
  currents, until the late 1980s – and perhaps even to this day.

  Freedom under the Snow?

  New Approaches to the Philological and Historical Background of Mór Jókai’s Novel, Part I

   

  The author reveals a hitherto unknown literary connection between Mór Jókai’s novel Freedom under the Snow; or, The Green Book, which did not play a role in the process of the work’s creation, but the reading and layers of the novel are expanded and enriched by its knowledge. How is the reception of Jókai’s novel complemented by an unexpected “literary fact” that reinforces and justifies the writer’s concept of the characters and events depicted?
